It has one of the best-rugged waterproof designs (certified IP54) on the market today coming complete with its hardened carry case the Motorola T80 Extreme remains one of our best sellers to date as a simple cost effective walkie-talkie and tons of features.

The Motorola T80 Extreme is a class PMR466 MHz radio, what this means is 446 MHz is within the frequency range that is open and does not require any licensing either for business or personal use. The normal range of the walkie-talkies will vary a lot dependant on the surrounding environment. Manufacturers will state the maximum range for ideal conditions which would normally be from peak to peak and is up to 10Km for the T80 Extreme. If you are using the radios in built-up areas then the range will be much less as large buildings, trees, walls, hills will reduce the range. Weather conditions can also have an effect on the range especially in heavy rain and snow.

The Motorola TLKR T80 Extreme allows you to create groups, so having large groups will make communication with the whole team. All members of the group will have an ID and can see the name of the group on the screen display and vibration alert.
